Synthetic Division Zero Calculator
Introduction & Importance
Synthetic division is a method used to divide a polynomial by a binomial. When the divisor is of the form x – c, where c is a constant, the division can be performed using synthetic division. This method is particularly useful when the divisor is a linear term, as it simplifies the division process.
How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the dividend (the polynomial to be divided) in the ‘Dividend’ field. Use the format ‘coefficient*x^exponent’ for each term, separated by ‘+’ or ‘-‘.
- Enter the divisor (the polynomial by which the dividend is to be divided) in the ‘Divisor’ field. It should be in the form ‘x – c’.
- Click the ‘Calculate’ button. The quotient and remainder will be displayed below the calculator.
