Garmin Stress Calculation
Garmin Stress Calculation Guide
Introduction & Importance
Garmin’s stress calculation feature helps you understand your body’s response to stress. By monitoring your heart rate variability (HRV), it provides a stress score that ranges from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating higher stress levels.
How to Use This Calculator
- Enter your current heart rate (bpm) in the first input field.
- Enter your resting heart rate (bpm) in the second input field.
- Enter your age in the third input field.
- Click the “Calculate” button.
Formula & Methodology
The stress score is calculated using the following formula:
Stress Score = (60 / (Resting Heart Rate - Current Heart Rate)) * (100 - Age)
Real-World Examples
Case Study 1
John, a 30-year-old, has a current heart rate of 75 bpm and a resting heart rate of 60 bpm. His stress score would be:
Stress Score = (60 / (60 - 75)) * (100 - 30) = 40
